All around 3 km long coastline are pebbly and rocky beaches with gradual entry to the sea. There is the open sea and a beautiful view of the islands of Olib and Silba and small islands Maun and Škrdu. Mandre is 15 km from the town Pag and 15 km from the town Novalja. History and monuments
Until 1970, there were only two fishermen's houses on the coast of today's Mandre, in the place of today's port. Most of the land here was owned by the residents of nearby Kolan. The development of tourism in Croatia caused the construction of apartment houses also in the resort of Mandre.
Kolan was first recorded in writing in 1441, when the Venetians were allowed to establish a small town on the territory of Kolan. There is an old school in Kolan, founded in 1903. Today, it houses an ethnographic collection of old objects and tools that were used for work in ancient times.
Coal was mined in the vicinity of Kolan, which was transported by rail to the nearby port of Šimuni, where it was loaded onto Italian ships.
