Seget Donji is the largest settlement in the municipality of Seget. It is located two kilometers west of the UNSECO city of Trogir and has a long tourist tradition. Due to the mild climate, the population is engaged in agriculture and fishing. Seget Donji is an extremely convenient destination for families. Throughout the coast, along the crystal clear sea, there is a beautiful pebble beach with restaurants and bars. Along the beach is a beautiful promenade to the apartment complex Medena. The hotel has numerous facilities for children and water sports, tennis courts, trim tracks and other sports fields that can be used by all visitors. In the evening, you can dance on the terraces of the hotel and restaurant or visit one of the night bars along the beach.

History and monuments

The village was founded in 1564, when the Trogir nobleman Jakov Rotondo started building a tower around which the village was fortified to defend against the Turks. Church of St. Anthony of Padua, which contains some artistic treasures, among them a painted cross from the 14th century built in 1758. In the field there are several small churches from ancient times, and the church of St. Danijela probably dates from pre-Romanesque times. Other fortresses built to defend against the Turks are still visible in the area, and especially in the fields. Between Seget and Trogir stands the Renaissance defensive tower of the patrician Stafilić family. A large number of valuable historical monuments can be found in the old town of Trogir.

Swimming and beach Seget Donji

The coast here is very diverse, overgrown with pine forest. You will find stony and pebbly beaches, and there are beautifully maintained sandy beaches near hotels and guesthouses, and there are also small private beaches. Some beaches have been awarded a blue flag. The sea has crystal clear water and a pleasant temperature from May to October. On some beaches there is an entertainment program, children's attractions.

Sports offer

The sports and recreation offer in this area is very diverse. It offers conditions for yachting, diving, windsurfing, fishing, near the beaches there are fields for small football, sand volleyball, tennis, table tennis, a basketball court, skittles. Long paths along the sea for walking, running and cycling. You can rent a boat, car, motorbike, bicycle. You will also find a diving school, a gym, massages, saunas. Rafting is also nearby. A lot of historical monuments, the Croatian National Park, boat trips to the surrounding islands and other attractions beckon for trips.

Permitted speed: in the village 50 km/h, outside the village 80 km/h, on the highway 130 km/h
In case of the slightest accident with damage to the car, the police must be called on 92, who will write a report about the accident - "confirmation of damage to the vehicle". Without this confirmation, the damaged vehicle would not be released from Croatia on the way back to the Czech Republic.

Cultural events and evening life

The local tourist association organizes many entertainment and cultural programs, fishing evenings, national parties, musical evenings, pilgrimage to the holy place. There are restaurants, taverns, pizzerias, discotheques, dance terraces, and a night club. You can also find a large offer of cultural events in Trogir. Night fishing with local fishermen is a very interesting experience.
