History and monuments

During the fighting against the Turks, walls with three towers were built around the city, and the Turkish customs house still stands in the east. The three-story Čorić tower from the 17th century, which was built by the Fonda family from Sibenik as their summer house, is also noteworthy. On the west side of Vodice, the Gothic church of St. Crosses from the 17th century. Dominating the square is the Baroque parish church of the Finding of St. Kříže (župna crkva Našašća sv. Križa) with a belfry dating from the middle of the 18th century.

There are two wells in the main square as a reminder of the time when the city of Vodice sold water from its countless springs. The archaeological sites Šabin brdo, Gradina Dragišić, Rakitnica, Rimska ograđenica, Prižba are also worth attention.

Swimming and beach Vodice

Plava plaža, which is awarded the so-called Blue Flag, is a 4 km long gravel beach between Vodice and Tribunj. Other city beaches in Vodice are made of small pebbles and with concrete slabs. Most of the beaches have a gradual entrance to the sea, so they are suitable for small children. There are many entertainment attractions available on the beaches and promenade, and you can try and enjoy various water sports and activities such as windsurfing, water skiing or scooters.
