Preko - island Ugljan

Preko is situated on the east coast of the island of Ugljan. It is located in the Zadar Strait (Zadarski kanal) directly opposite the town Zadar on the mainland. Preko is the administrative center of the island. In the vicinity of cultivated vines and olive trees. Preko has a ferry connection with Zadar (trip takes 30 minutes).

History and monuments
In Preko there is a Romanesque church of St. John the Baptist. On the hill above the village (265 m) there is a landmark - the old Venetian fortress of St. Michael. The Venetians built it at the beginning of the 13th century.
