Grabovac
Croatia, Continental Croatia
Grabovac is a place located in the southernmost part of Karlovac County, along the border of the Plitvice Lakes National Park. The main thoroughfare passes through the nearby town of Rakovica from Zagreb via Karlovac and Plitvice Lakes to the Adriatic Sea with a branch towards Bihac in the Federation of BiH. We can safely say that what makes Rakovica famous today are Barac's caves. The pearl we are comparing to the Plitvice Lakes, after a century of carelessness, is now tidy and open to visitors. For the tourist visit is arranged 200m Gorenje Barac caves. The area of Rakovica municipality is rich in hunting game - foxes, deer, rabbits, wild pigs, wolves and game feathered animals - ducks, quails, pigeons. This rich, beautiful and still primordial nature offers strong support in the search for natural harmony and in the search for a refreshing difference from everyday urban life. In touch with this nature, the locals and the local gastronomy, you can nourish and rest your body, fill your soul with experiences and strengthen the spirit of the ambience. There is no noise, hustle and bustle here, the harmony and comfort here comes from the encounter of stone and water, field orchids and roe deer, sky and trees. Along with other activities such as caving, trekking, horseback riding or rafting, cycling around the crab area is definitely one of the reasons to visit this area and translate a nice day into one of the many bike trails.
