Bol - island Brac

Croatia, Central Dalmatia

Bol is the oldest coastal settlement on island Brac. It lives in the seclusion of the southern landscapes, in the central part of the southern side of the island, at the foot of Bol's crown and Vidova Gora - the highest island elevation and at the same time the highest peak of all the Adriatic islands (778 m). It stretches for miles along the seafront. The sea in front of it is very clear, the clear waves look like sanded crystals. Bol is full of attractive beaches. West of Bol, Zlatni rat beach is one of the largest and most beautiful natural attractions of the Adriatic. Like a tongue, it extends nearly half a kilometer into the blue of the sea. It grows by depositing and depositing tiny pebbles around the underwater reef. The tip of the Golden War changes shape, trying to please the waves and the currents of the sea. From the eastern side of Bol, on the Glavica peninsula, the Dominican monastery rises in solemn peace. Its museum has a rich archeological collection, as well as a variety of valuable objects and paintings. The urban core of Bol is shaped along the harbor. The baroque mansion, the Lodge with the church, the Renaissance-Baroque palace which houses the art gallery, the parish church, the market and the castle are located there. Stylish buildings blend seamlessly into the harmonious assembly of houses of original folk architecture. Pain is a site of exceptional maritime convenience. Its coastline, with its many corners of peace and comfort, offers a feeling of great free space, created for meditative relaxation and for an active holiday.
