Barbat - Ostrov Rab

Barbat is the first place on the island of Rab, which you will encounter after coming out from the ferry. The place is surrounded by pebble beaches, and it is known for its shipbuilders and is a favorite destination of a sailors. Numerous restaurants in the area are provided by local fishermen with fresh seafood and famous Kvarner scampi. Barbat has its feast called "Karmenica" which is celebrated on July 16 with a rich gastronomic offer.
With the town of Rab, it is connected to a 6km long coastal promenade, ideal for morning biking or jogging if you are a fan of this type of sporting activity.
