Gradac is situated on a mild slope covered by olive-groves and pine forests, Gradac is an attractive tourist resort, with one of the most beautiful and longest beaches not only on the Makarska Riviera but also on the entire Adriatic coast. Recreational facilities include numerous sports grounds and water sports equipment. Apart from an exquisite gastronomic offer, attractive are also numerous feasts visited by the population of other neighbouring places (Drvenik, Brist). Gradac, a town and small harbour on the Makarska Riviera, 13 km east of Ploce. Economy is based on farming, viticulture, olive growing, fishing and tourism. South of the harbour is Gornja Vala, with the largest and most beautiful beach on the Makarska Riviera.

City harbor is sheltered from adverse winds, and it can be anchored boats and small yachts. Near the Upper Vale, there is a small nudist beach. Recommendation: do not leave valuables in the cars, do not carry them to the beach, lock the accommodation units and close the windows before you leave, follow the traffic rules, especially in smaller towns and drive cautiously when it rains.
