Excursion Malostons Gulf on boat
All-day trip called Fish picnic along the Malostons Gulf is organized every day. Start is in the morning at 10 am on boat Lipa moja from the local port. First part is sailing to the town of Mali Ston (journey takes about an hour). In the local bay and the nearby cove Bistrina is the largest kennel of oysters and mussels. This village was built by the Republic of Dubrovnik and it was part of a massive fortification system of the town of Ston. During the war in the 90s the village was almost destroyed. Today is the village newly repaired and all footprints of the war years were removed. The dominant of the village is the Koruna fortress with five towers, which is connected by the walls with the fortress system of Ston. From the fortress rise walls to the top of the hill Pozvizd with a wonderful view over the bay of Maloston. In this village is time about 45 minutes and then is the island of Life (Otok Života) where is time about one hour and you can swim here in the clear water of the Adriatic sea. From the island of Life the boat sails on the Peljesac peninsula,to the small village Hodilje. Here you have the time about 1, 5 hours to swim. Return to klek at 17:00.The price of the trip included lunch. You can taste the fish and vegetable salad, homemade pate, fruit. The price also included rakija, wine, mineral water or juice.
