Baska Voda is a popular tourist destination, located on the Makarska Riviera, which is known among tourists for its pebbly beaches, which are mostly surrounded by dense pine forests. Baska Voda was a fishing village in earlier times and was already inhabited in ancient times. It is located only 10 kilometers from Makarska. Due to the cleanliness and clearness of the sea, the pebbly beaches of the location at the foot of the mountain Biokovo - which is often visited by lovers of mountains and hiking, and botanists - Baska Voda, has become a well-known place with a rich tourist offer, hospitality and hotel service. History and monuments

Baška Voda today - in the 1930s. the Sikavica brothers built the first hotel in Baška Voda called Slavija. In the last twenty years, Baška Voda has become the most popular tourist destination in central Dalmatia, and as one of the best established tourist spots on the Adriatic coast, it has been awarded the title "Blue Flower" with a golden emblem, the most prestigious award for tourism in Croatia, for several years in a row.

Swimming and beach Baska Voda

In the center of the town of Baška Voda is the wide beach of Sv. Nicholas, which received the "Blue Flag". Along the coast there are many sandy beaches with a gradual entrance to the sea, surrounded by pine trees.

200 m from the town in the direction of the village of Baško Polje there is a beach for dogs and in the same direction there is also a nudist beach.

Sports offer

Baška Voda has excellent conditions for practicing various types of sports. Active holiday lovers can play tennis, football, handball, basketball, table tennis, mini golf, or try fishing, diving or sailing. You can also rent mountain bikes and parasailing. From water sports, we recommend surfing, water skiing, yacht with and without motor, pedal boats, jet ski. There is also a diving school, a children's playground and a trampoline. The place Baška Voda provides mountain hikes to Biokovo. Several kilometers long promenade connects all places from Makarska Brela to Podgora, and is an ideal place for lovers of hiking, cycling or roller skating.
